International Food Waste Awareness Day
On September 29th our Citizens of 12.3 ran collaborative activations across New Zealand.
We had weekly challenges, and Countdown vouchers were up for grabs!
WEEK 1: WASTE AUDIT
LOCATION: at home
Our first challenge is a two-day food waste audit. Collect you and your whānau/ flatties food scraps in a bucket on Monday 6th and then do it again on Tuesday 7th, but try to waste less!

WEEK 2: FRIDGE HARVEST
LOCATION: at home
In our second challenge, we're teaming up with Love Food Hate Waste and asking you to #harvest your fridge and pantry to create some delicious leftover meals! Send us a pic of your creation.
WEEK 3: FOOD RESCUE
LOCATION: at your local food rescue organisation
This week, we're celebrating the amazing food rescue organisations who are reducing waste and feeding communities. Check out the Aotearoa Food Rescue Alliance website here.
WEEK 4: EVENTS!
LOCATION: Wellington & Dunedin
Visit our local installations to raise awareness on food waste reduction, or see content online through our Facebook event.
